Stay Experience

Australian Family
A convenient base for sightseeing in Tokyo

Hello, my name is Shioya, and I work as a staff member at this accommodation.
I would like to introduce a family from Australia who stayed with us in the spring of 2025.
They were a family of four - a couple and their two children - who stayed for one week and enjoyed sightseeing and cultural experiences unique to Japan.
Here, I’ll share their impressions and stories, along with the feedback I personally received from them during their stay.

Enjoying Tokyo in Spring: An Australian Family

Convenient Access to Asakusa, Skytree, Nihonbashi, and Ginza

This family flew from Australia to Japan and chose our accommodation as their base for sightseeing, mainly around Tokyo.
Spring in Tokyo coincides with the cherry blossom season, when the city is filled with visitors enjoying pleasant walks.
The family often mentioned how convenient it was to reach Asakusa, Skytree, Nihonbashi, and Ginza from our location.

Enjoying Tokyo Walks During the Cherry Blossom Season

In Asakusa, it was especially memorable to see their children happily holding ningyo-yaki (traditional sweet cakes) while walking along Nakamise Street.
The parents enjoyed the historic atmosphere of Senso-ji Temple and were amazed by the contrast between the traditional temple and the modern Tokyo Skytree.
They also visited Nihonbashi and Ginza, where they seemed captivated by the refined and distinctly Japanese cityscape.

Easy Access After Sightseeing

One aspect the family particularly appreciated during their stay was our convenient location near the station.
For families traveling with children, having a short journey back from sightseeing spots provides great peace of mind.
They were also very pleased to find a convenience store just a short walk away.
During travel, unexpected needs often arise, and having a place nearby to easily shop for essentials proved to be extremely convenient.

Many Convenience Stores and Restaurants Within Walking Distance

They also mentioned that there were plenty of restaurants nearby, so they never had trouble finding a place to eat.
In particular, many of the restaurants stay open late, allowing them to enjoy dinner comfortably even after returning from sightseeing.
We once again realized that this excellent location is a major advantage for families staying for an extended period.

Peace of Mind When Using a Stroller

Facilities Designed for Easy Storage

The family brought a stroller with them on this trip.
A stroller is essential when traveling with small children, but in some hotels and accommodations in Japan, finding a place to store it can be difficult.
At our facility, however, we provide a designated space for strollers, allowing families to use them without worry.

It was memorable when the mother smiled and said, “It was so convenient to be able to put the stroller away easily every day after sightseeing.”
We realized that such thoughtful facilities bring great reassurance to guests visiting from overseas.

Experiencing Japanese Culture in a Tatami Room

A Tatami Space Where Children Can Safely Relax

The family shared that one of the most memorable parts of their stay was letting their child rest in a tatami room.
In Australia, it’s rare to encounter tatami, so playing or napping on the straw mats was a completely new experience for them.

A Uniquely Japanese Stay the Whole Family Enjoyed

The parents happily told us, “Watching our child relax safely on the tatami was adorable and became a wonderful memory.”
The softness and scent of tatami are symbols of Japanese culture, and we felt that being able to experience a Japanese-style way of living during their stay was a great attraction for families visiting from overseas.

The Ideal Base for Sightseeing in Tokyo

Why a One-Week Stay Was So Comfortable

During their one-week stay, the family efficiently visited sightseeing spots such as Asakusa, Skytree, Nihonbashi, and Ginza.
Our accommodation offers excellent access to central Tokyo, making it ideal for travelers who want to visit many places in a short period of time.
In particular, the comfortable distance from sightseeing areas to the accommodation seemed to be a key factor in ensuring a relaxing and enjoyable trip.

A Different Experience from a Hotel Stay
Staying as If Living in Japan

The family mentioned that they felt as though they were “experiencing daily life in Japan,” not just sightseeing.
Unlike a typical hotel stay, the lifestyle-oriented experience of “staying as if living” was a perfect fit for a family trip.
